Maths is no only numbers, one beside the next or one added to another. If it were that you should call it calculating. But that's not, what is the center of maths.
Maths gives us certain instruments to describe the world or even to fortell what will happen. In every inch of our life we will find maths. Most people don't want to look for it, as they always feared maths at school. But there's no reason.

Rating: 6 point(s) | Read and rate text individuallyComputer Scientists have a lot of respect for mathematics. In my experience, people who enjoy advanced CS also enjoy solving math problems, particularly proofs. However, Mathematicians have no respect whatsoever for Computer Science.
