When I was in primary school, a teacher once told us that story about a certain species of microscopic bugs that live between the pages of old books in dark, dusty libraries.
I imagine, they must be quite happy, living in their flat, little, two-dimensional world. They have no idea that a third dimension exists, somewhere on the other side of the book cover. How could they know?
And some day, when many years have passed, when maybe the library is being renovated, someone might casually open a book and one of the bugs might fall out and suddenly it realises that there is another world out there. What a great surprise for the little fellow.
And when it's sitting there, on the edge of the bookshelf, still wide-eyed and dizzy, staring at the unfathomable deepness of the world, that stunning mystery, it might think:
This is beautiful.
Maybe that's not true.
Maybe bugs don't care about dimensions.
But I do. And that's exactly how I feel since you kissed me.
