Five things you learn about life from the movies:

1. If you decide to start dancing in the street, everyone you meet will know the steps.

2. The Eiffel Tower can be seen from every window in Paris.

3. When fifteen martial arts experts attack you at one time, they will wait patiently for you to disable them.

4. One in every pair of identical twins is born with evil powers.

5. When you switch off the light to go to sleep, your bedroom turns blue.

Five ways how Hollywood corrupted American history via the cowboys-and-Indians-westerns:

1. There is not a single confirmed report of an unprovoked Indian attack on a wagon train west of the Mississippi River;

2. The real reason wagons drew into a circle wasn't to defend against Indian attacks (see #1 above), but to keep livestock from straying at night.

3. The blood-curdling war cry ('woo-woo-woo-woo') was actually the feminine form of applause by Sioux and Ojibwe women. This ululation is common among women throughout the world as a greeting of respect and friendship.

4. Custer was an arrogant ignoramus who had it coming.

5. The ancestors of Native Americans had universities and brain surgery at a time when the ancestors of Europeans were living in mud-and-thatch huts.

One of my favorite sparetime activities. I've been so often to the cinema this summer, that the people there started paying me back money. Honestly.. I went for the third time in one week, and the popcorn and chocolates seller (who once again didn't have my favorite chocolate) just called out to me and my friends. Approaching, he took back our tickets and gave us back our money, but we were admitted to the film.
So you might guess which job I would like to have... Working in a cinema is really a dream. Going to the pictures for free... and even more get payed for working there. Fantastic.....

I am slightly appalled by the fact that a part of myself truly believes that the cinema offers our only hope of clarity, and thus, of redemption.
